Collaboration with Jane McLean, Angharad Harrop and Ise Brogeland, based on our shared experience with the genre defying artform, Capoeira.
Developed around myths and music from the sea, energy from Brazil, our experiences of diving headfirst into the world of Capoeira and the journey that has taken us on and how all of this resonates throughout our lives and throughout the world. We worked with a fantastic live musician Mika De Oliveira, lighting designer Murray Smoker and dramaturg Kevin Dyer. Toured October 2015, funded by Arts Council England.

A.M.O.R. Paris (2006)
Film Maker/ performer
29 mins
This video is part of a series of 5 shown as part of an installation which updated weekly as I travelled to cities in which I often find myself walking alone at night (Birmingham, Liverpool, Leicester, Nottingham, Paris). The work was comissioned by A.A.S. (aasgroup.net) as part of a touring exhibition. The installation area replicated a dark alley which the audience would enter to view the work on an old TV set at the end of the ‘alley’.
A.M.O.R. Installation Plan
Floor plan of gallery installation. The A.M.O.R. videos were shown on the TV. The DVDs from each city where rotated sporadically or when I send a new one I have made on my travels.
